Diane Jackson, from Sedona, was the very interesting lady who shared so much with us. She´s in our 2008 Referral Roster as, The Jacksons International Real Estate, 928-821-2237, or 520-777-9371, email is: diane@arizonabuyers.com. Our group really enjoyed her. Sally Bonkowske was responsible for bringing her to us 3. WCR Meeting Reviews: Washington DC, National Convention, State, etc and sharing this information to encourage members to attend AND pursue PMN. Fund Raising Events 1. Outstanding function at Donna Baade´s home with builders, affiliates, members, with prizes, music and food. Thank you, Donna and Ron Baade. Donna Baade may be reached on her cell: 928-978-3586 or Coldwell Banker Bishop Realty in Payson at 928-474-2216. She was the 2008 LC President and a great person. She can tell you more about the fund raiser that was held at her home. It was wonderful. 2. Carole Lee´s idea for money necklace was very profitable and fun. Carole Lee´s money necklace was rather easy. She twisted fake money around wire, scrunched it up so the wire didn´t show and members took turns wearing this at the various functions. The necklace "appraised" at $200 but many more dollars were collected than that as a raffle (tickets and everything) that went on for several weeks. A sizeable profit was nade on this. 3. Fashion Shows Several chapters have been quite successful with fashion shows: (Scottsdale, Lake Havasu Area), talent shows, golf tournaments, and other benefits. 4. Economic Summit Contact Yvonne Coelet, White Mountain Chapter, 928-205-9060 Yvonne@WhiteMountainYvonne.com Member Recruitments 1. "It´s 5:00 o´clock Somewhere" event outside of monthly meeting. Have meet and greet for the first hour, then a Cabi party. First two meetings at happy hour establishments. Meet at different places around the area. Collect business cards during the event for Raffle, then give away a unique martini glass during the regular monthly meeting (to entice attendance from the party). Scottsdale Chapter says over 40 members and non-members attended. 2. Chili Feed Membership Drive 3. Referral Marketing 4. New Member Recognitions 5. President Elect who attended Leadership Academy shared interesting and exciting benefits of her trip to Chicago and what she learned. 6. Share ideas and views in a "round table" manner. From National WCR Website Posts: 1. Emerald Coast Chapter in Destin (state?) added several members through social events. No meeting, no agenda, just plain old fun. Rented a boat (cruise) for two hours. Two sponsors helped with costs. Paid for good food and also prizes. Lots of fun, evening open to members, guests, and spouses. Gained three new members on the cruise. Have these social gatherings about once a month but this one was special. Cost per person was a $20, included all drinks and beer or wine. 2. Other topics on the Message Board: a. Providing Superior Service
And many others! It is suggested that all members, particularly those in office, visit and absorb the National WCR website on a regular basis ( www.wcr.org ). There are some great ideas, new and not so new that can benefit all of us. Get excited all over again! IDEAS not tested:
