The Karen Franz Scholarship Fund

KAREN FRANZ

The Karen Franz Scholarship Fund was established in the
memory of Karen Franz, a very dynamic and well-loved
woman, who had a sincere passion for our organization.

Funds to develop this scholarship  came from raffle donations
that were made in 1998, to assist Karen, who was in the later
stages of ALS, or "Lou Gehrig's disease". Unfortunately, Karen
did not survive long enough to benefit from the funds. After she passed, the State WCR Executive committee felt the most appropriate use of the left-over funds, were to honor Karens
memory with a scholarship fund. The Arizona Assn. of REALTORS
doubled the available funds with an additional donation. That is
how the Karen Franz Scholarship fund got started.

The scholarship is available to qualified members
of the Arizona State
Chapter  (See Guidelines below), who have taken educational classes
to  further their real estate knowledge, and improve their leadership skills.
